How to Extract Pages from a PDF in 3 Steps

1

Upload Document

Drag and drop your PDF file into the box above. The tool will instantly load a visual preview of every page.

2

Select Pages to Keep

Click the pages you want to extract. You can select a Single Page, a Range (e.g., 1-5), or non-consecutive pages.

3

Download New PDF

Click 'Extract'. We will create a new PDF file containing only the pages you selected, ready for download.

4

Split or Separate

Need to turn one PDF into two? Simply repeat the process to create multiple smaller files from one master document.

Split, Separate, and Isolate PDF Pages

Large PDF files can be difficult to manage, especially when you only need a specific section. Whether you are an accountant separating invoices, a student isolating a book chapter, or a lawyer extracting a contract clause, Utilix gives you the power to deconstruct your PDF files with precision.

Why Extract Pages Instead of Printing?

Many users still print a document and scan back only the pages they need. This reduces quality and wastes paper. Using an Online PDF Splitter is superior because:

  • Original Quality: Extracted pages retain their original high-resolution text and images.
  • Preserved Metadata: Links and bookmarks within the extracted pages often remain intact.
  • Speed: Process a 100-page document in seconds without installing Adobe Acrobat.

Common Use Cases

For Business

Extract a single invoice from a monthly statement or separate a signed page from a contract.

For Education

Split a large textbook PDF into individual chapters to share easily with students.

Secure & Private Extraction

We understand that the pages you extract often contain sensitive data. Utilix employs a "Privacy by Design" architecture.

When you use our tool to separate PDF pages, the processing is handled efficiently. Your original file and the new extracted file are permanently deleted from our servers automatically after 1 hour. We do not look at, store, or share your documents.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I extract multiple ranges at once?

Currently, the tool creates one new PDF at a time. To create multiple files (e.g., Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 as separate files), simply run the extraction process twice.

Will the formatting change?

No. The extracted pages will look exactly like the originals. Fonts, images, and layout are preserved 100%.

Is there a limit on file size?

We support large files. However, for extremely large documents (500MB+), the upload might take longer depending on your internet connection.

How do I remove a page instead of extracting?

This tool works by "Selecting what to KEEP." If you want to remove a page, simply select every page except the one you want to delete, and then click Extract.
